2000 Sewer Vertical Vent Check Valve
The 2000 series is a radical new concept in sewer vent design. The dual action system prevents inflow of water during floods, while preventing outflow of sewage back into the environment. This valve mounts vertically, rather than inverted, as in the 1700 Series.

Functionality

The dual-action float system blocks the out flow of water should the sewer line reach capacity. This is especially important in areas where sewer out-fall lines run next to rivers and streams. The overflow of sewer collection lines in these areas would be devastating to the quality of the water and surrounding land.

The 2000 Series resistive properties are the same as 1700 Series. The major difference between the 2000 Series and the 1700 Series is the valve body. The 2000 Series valve is manufactured of 3/16 cold rolled carbon steel or aluminum plates. It consists of three main parts: an outer body, an inner body, and a cover.

Here is an example of a 2000 Sewer Vent Check Valve at a location site. Model 2000 and 2050 may be purchased with a manhole cover attached for easy installation.
The dual floats are made from high density polyethelyne. These seat to neoprene gasket material, and assure a positve seal in both directions. The valve body is powder coated epoxy that is highly resistant to sewer acids and gases.

A expanded vent cover allows for adquate air flow, while also acting as a protective screen for insects and debris. All hardware is tamper proof 316 stainless steel, and provides easy access for cleaning, inspection or replacement parts.

Submerge leak tests on both inflow and overflow show only 250ml or a little over a cup of water after 18 hours of being submerged.

Connections: Available with a 4" flanged connection.
