Wager’s Model 1500-1 Vent Check Valve is designed for vertical installation on the deck of marine vessels, providing dependable tank ventilation while protecting critical compartments from seawater intrusion. In its normal open position, the valve allows for the free flow of air, ensuring proper ventilation of tanks and bulkheads during standard vessel operation.

When vessels encounter heavy seas or deck wash conditions, the valve’s precision-engineered disc-style float automatically rises and seals securely against a Buna seat. This automatic sealing action prevents seawater, spray, and debris from entering sensitive tank and bulkhead compartments, helping protect onboard systems and maintain vessel integrity.

For additional safety, the Model 1500-1 is equipped with a 30 × 30 mesh stainless steel flame screen, which provides protection against deck fires by preventing flame propagation into the tank system.

The valve is available in galvanized steel or stainless steel construction, allowing it to withstand the harsh marine environment while delivering long-term reliability and corrosion resistance.
