The Wager Model 1500-1 Vent Check Valve is available with an optional manual closure assembly, featuring a hand-wheel actuator mounted on a precision jackscrew. This feature allows operators to manually close the valve when necessary, providing an additional level of control for maintenance operations, system isolation, or emergency situations.

When equipped with this option, the valve may be manually closed by turning the hand-wheel in a clockwise directionuntil resistance is felt and the valve is fully seated. To return the valve to its normal operating position, the hand-wheel should be turned counter-clockwise until it reaches the fully open position.

It is important that the manual closure assembly be completely opened during normal operation. Failure to fully retract the jackscrew could restrict the movement of the internal float disc, potentially preventing the valve from sealing properly during heavy seas or restricting normal ventilation of the tank system.

The manual closure option is available for all sizes within the Wager 1500 Series, providing flexibility for a wide range of marine ventilation applications.
